  • Please review information below specific to the AEHL and AFHL Spring ID and U18 AAA Programs.

  • Registration opens for all Spring ID Camps on March 1, 2026 at 8:00 am.

  • ID Skate registration is managed through a waitlist process. Families who register will automatically be placed on a waitlist and, when invited, will have 72 hours to complete their registration to secure their spot.

  • Register here through the Junior Oilers Registration Store.

  • If you do not have a Team Linkt account, please create one in the parents name and add the player to register for Spring ID Camps.

2026 Spring ID Camps:

  • Cost: $145

  • Dates:

    • April 11, 2026 | The Meadows Arena East

    • May 9, 2026 | Castledowns Arena A

    • May 23, 2026 | Castledowns Arena B

  • Edmonton resident players only.

  • 2 games guaranteed.

  • Open registration for players from U15 AA, U15 AAA, U16 AA, U17 AAA, U18 AA, U18 AAA and CSSHL.

    • Unsanctioned players will be reviewed by registration committee.

  • ID Skate registration is managed through an application process. Families who register will automatically be placed on a waitlist and, when invited, will have 72 hours to complete their registration to secure their spot.

  • Each camp is limited to a maximum of 160 players.

IMPORTANT DETAILS FOR TEAM BLUE/ORANGE (CO-ED):

  • Opportunities with this program are for Edmonton resident players only.

  • The Spring ID Camps are open registration; however, tryouts are invite-only. Invitations to tryout will be sent out after the final ID Camp.

  • To earn a "Player Agreement" (signing) opportunity or an invite to tryout, players must attend at least one Spring ID Camp.

    • Attending more than one camp allows coaches to more effectively evaluate player abilities, intangibles, and character.

  • Returning players must also attend at least one ID Camp. Returning players must earn their position with the team/program; a spot is not guaranteed.

    • Tryouts will begin in September.

  • The Team Formation document, outlining all Junior Oilers key dates, recruitment practices, and team formation procedures, will be updated and posted on April 1, 2026, to the “Spring ID Camps” webpage.

  • Please refer to the Elite Team Formation Reminder that was distributed by Hockey Alberta on May 23, 2025.

2026 Spring ID Camps:

  • ID Skate registration is managed through an application process. Families who register will automatically be placed on a waitlist and, when invited, will have 72 hours to complete their registration to secure their spot.

  • Each camp is limited to a maximum of 80 players.

IMPORTANT DETAILS FOR TEAM WHITE (ALL-FEMALE):

  • The 2026-27 Spring ID Camps are open registration; however, tryouts will be invite-only.

  • Tryouts will begin in September 2026.

  • The teams within the AFHL U18AAA league operate on a province-wide recruitment-based system. Recruitment is ongoing and is executed by the staff using video, live viewings, and character references.

  • The team is permitted to sign up to 20 players to "Player Agreements" this Spring.

  • Returning players must earn their position with the team/program; a spot is not guaranteed.
