Junior Oilers White to Play in Rogers Place

With Hockey Alberta's Female Hockey Day around the corner, Hockey Edmonton and the Junior Oilers program are thrilled to announce an exciting event celebrating our girls' hockey community.

On January 30, 2024, the Edmonton Junior Oilers White U18 AAA team will face off against the Red Deer Sutter Fund Chiefs at Rogers Place. These two all-girls/women's U18 AAA teams hold impressive rankings as #1 and #2 in Canada, presenting a fantastic opportunity to showcase elite women's and girls' hockey right here in our own backyard.

This game symbolizes a historic milestone for our hockey community. The Junior Oilers White team has made history as the first all-girls/women's team authorized by the NHL to proudly sport the iconic Oilers logo. Additionally, it marks the inaugural occasion for these exceptionally skilled young women to grace the ice at Rogers Place during an AFHL U18 AAA league game, proudly wearing the Oilers jersey. If you can see it, you can be it!

In addition to girls youth hockey teams coming out to watch what it promised to be a phenomenally competitive game on January 30, we aim to highlight the growth of the girls' game in our city at this event. The Junior Oilers organization will celebrate the progression of our Junior Oilers players - former, current, and those still to come - by honoring the critical pathway your programs provide in training the promising talents that will continue to emerge through the Junior Oilers program in the future.

Space will be limited, as only a portion of the lower bowl at Rogers Place will be open for this game. For details on tickets, please contact office@hockeyedmonton.ca.
